Free forever for artists

They booked. They ghosted.
You kept the deposit.

A deposit link you paste straight into your DMs. It reminds them, lets them reschedule without losing your money, and enforces your no-show policy so you don't have to.

Free for you, forever. Your client covers the $2.99. Money lands in your own Stripe — we never hold it.

It lives where your business already lives

No app for your client to download. No booking site to explain. Just a link in the DM thread you're already in.

Paste the link

One link, your handle, your deposit amount. Works in DMs, texts, comments, your bio — anywhere.

2

It does the awkward part

Your policy is on the checkout page and they have to check the box. Reminders go out at 7 days and 24 hours. You don't chase anyone.

3

They reschedule or they forfeit

Reschedule once and the deposit moves with them. Ghost you, and it's yours — with a timestamped record of the policy they agreed to.

The ghost math nobody wants to do

Two no-shows a month is not a rounding error. It's a vacation you didn't take.

2–6slots lost to ghosts in an average month
$400–1,500walked out the door, every month
$4,800+a year, at just two ghosts a month

⚠️ And if you're taking deposits on personal Venmo…

Personal Venmo and Cash App accounts aren't meant for business payments — using them that way can get funds held or the account frozen, and there's no record of a policy your client agreed to if they dispute it. HoldTheInk runs on your own Stripe account: your money, your name, your payouts, and a receipt trail that exists if anyone ever asks.

Free is the whole product

The core tool costs artists nothing, forever. Your client pays a $2.99 fee at checkout — or you absorb it if you'd rather. Upgrades exist only when you want more.

Questions artists actually ask

Wait — it's actually free? What's the catch?

No catch. Your client pays a $2.99 fee when they put the deposit down, the same way they'd pay a ticket fee. You pay nothing, ever, on the free plan. If you'd rather your client not see a fee, you can absorb it instead.

Where does the money go?

Straight into your own Stripe account, in your name — we never hold your money. Payouts go to your bank on your schedule. We only take the $2.99 application fee at the moment of payment.

I already use Venmo. Why change?

Venmo works right up until it doesn't: personal accounts aren't built for business payments (which risks holds or a freeze), there's no reminder to stop the ghost from happening, no way to move a deposit to a new date, and no record of the policy they agreed to if they dispute the charge. This does all four, and it still takes you ten seconds in the DM.

What if a client disputes the charge?

Every booking ships with an evidence bundle — the policy they checked, timestamps, the reminders we sent, and the appointment they missed. You stay the merchant of record, so it's your money and your name, and we hand you the receipts to fight it with.

Do my clients need an app or an account?

No. They tap the link, pay with Apple Pay or a card, and get a confirmation. That's the entire experience.
